PMR Gives Back

PMR Gives Back

PMR employees contributed on Operation Christmas Child in 2015. They put together 43 boxes that were delivered to children in Ukraine, Columbia and 3 small African Countries.

PMR came together in 2010 to roll out "PMR Gives Back".  A schedule of events is planned every year for all the properties as well as the residents to come together and "give back" to the community.  The schedule includes: Feeding America Food Drive, Sport Equipment Drive, School Supplies Drive, Kosair Bears Drive, Hot Weather Relief Drive, Adopt A Soldier, Toys for Tots, and Hat, Scarf & Glove Drive.  It has always been Deborah Charlton's (President of PMR)deepest passion to give back to the charities who are in need of help through out the year. There is a set calendar of different themes and items PMR has set in place to collect for the remainder of 2012.  If you would like to donate or have an idea of a charity that could use a little giving back, please contact us for more information.

PMR and Kosair Charities supports Bears on Patrol kosair_bear.jpg

PMR is a dedicated community citizen wherever we have locations.  And, as an overall corporate initiative in its corporate headquarters city of Louisville, PMR has chosen to support the Kosair Charities Bears on Patrol program as our corporate-wide initiative.  In 2009 we made the commitment and will aggressively expand the program in 2011.  Bears on Patrol is a Kosair Charities-sponsored program that collects stuffed bears (and other animals) and then dispenses them to Police Officers and other emergency responders.  The public servants carry the bears in their car and when an emergency occurs and children are involved, they are given a stuffed animal for a comforting and caring presence. The program has expanded state-wide in Kentucky and PMR has plans to facilitate the program in every city it serves.  Additionally, PMR employees volunteered their weekends to paint cheery Disney scenes in the rooms where the bears are prepared for distribution.  In addition to the painting, PMR has also donated new carpeting for the rooms as well as resource support for recently flooded areas in the basement area where the bears are stored.

 Adopt a Soldier - 2012

PMR came together at the latter part of 2010 and beginning of 2011 with a desire to give more back to the community and those in need.  During the holidays the focus was on the can food drive for the Salvation Army, and over 7,000 cans were donated.  As winter neared, hats, scarves, and gloves were also donated to Salvation Army to be handed out at the local missions and Home for the Innocents.  The thought then was to give to soldiers overseas and collect items to be packaged and sent to them while they were overseas fighting for America's freedom.  Over 5,000 items were collected throughout the properties and were taken to Wave 3 "Operation Care Package" to be prepared for mailing and sent to the soldiers.
